Cleaning of Gaseous Efluents
To treat gaseous emissions, TECNIUM designs, manufactures and supplies a wide range of equipment using different technologies depending on the nature of the exhaust gas to be treated.
Usual technologies used are:
- Chemical Scrubbers
- Biofiltration
- Actived Carbon
- Thermal Oxidation
The selection of the most appropriate technology depends on the specific needs of each application:
Chemical scrubbers: are normally used to absorb acidic or alkaline gases by means of suitable reagents and applied within a scrubbers
Biofiltration: is more applicable to cases of polluted gases with organic and inorganic compounds and high flow rates, using special biomedia of organic or inorganic nature, making unnecessary the use of reagents.
Actived carbon: is normally used for the adsorption of VOC contaminants, passing through activated carbon beds towers.
Thermal oxidation: is often used to treat gases with high concentrations of VOC's, which are difficult or with no solubility in water.
Materials of construction of these equipments are mainly corrosion resistant such as:
- GRP (glass fiber reinforced polyester)
- PP
- HDPE
- PVC
- PVDF
- E-CTFE
- Lined or double laminate materials
- Stainless steel
- Carbon steel.
